    Drivers are set to be banned from parking in eight city roads under a new council scheme. Despite objections from residents, Sheffield Council's transport, regeneration and climate policy committee has given the green light to new double-yellow line restrictions across the city. The decision follows a comprehensive review process where eight locations were pinpointed for the traffic regulation order (TRO), with five facing resistance from the community.

    A historic Grade II listed Victorian building in Sheffield city centre is set to be transformed into nearly 20 new flats. The Industrial Tribunals Central Office Property Centre on East Parade has been granted permission to create 18 new homes within the Victorian structure. Originally built in 1825, the building has seen various uses over the years, including serving as a boys school and offices.
