The Colorado Buffaloes are preparing for their first matchup of the season against a fellow Big 12 Conference team. They host Baylor Bears at Folsom Field in Boulder. It comes after the Buffs big win over the Colorado State Rams in the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Saturday. It was arguably their most complete game of the season. Coach Deion Sanders is feeling good about the state of the team leading up to the start of conference play. The defense is a big reason for that.

Two female former student athletes who now work for DU Athletics describe their experiences at the University of Denver as full circle moments. From the moment Mia Sundstrom and Kacie Dohrmann stepped on the Colorado campus, they were inspired. Dohrmann played volleyball in college and is excited to now "be on a staff here where I was a student athlete and see the incredible support staff that still surrounds our student athletes." She is the Deputy Athletic Director for the DU Pioneers.

Nuggets first round draft pick DaRon Holmes II offers a tremendous amount of versatility to a Denver roster that is going to look different next season.   Holmes is an elite rim protector and a certified bucket getter. He's very dangerous on the inside and on the perimeter he showed improvement in college. His 3 point shooting was at 38% in his final season at Dayton. The Nuggets traded up to get Holmes in the draft in part because he's a great fit, both as a player and a person.
