NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — One man is dead after a moped crash in Norwalk on Sunday morning, according to police. 52-year-old Jose Olavarria was driving a moped in the area of West Avenue and Reed Street when he was struck by a car around 3:51 a.m. Olavarria died after being transported to Norwalk Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle stayed on scene, and the crash is under investigation.

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut residents joined in nationwide demonstrations on Saturday, protesting the actions of the Trump administration. The largest of these protests in Connecticut took place in Hartford where hundreds gathered at the state capitol. Protesters say they gathered to let their voices be heard and to speak out against the actions of the Trump administration, particularly changes to the Department of Education, federal funding, job cuts and tariffs.
