NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — People came together on Saturday to celebrate the history. culture and art of the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven. Festival goers soaked up the sun, enjoyed live music and fresh food throughout the afternoon. Local vendors and small businesses joined in on the fun as well, selling tacos, hot tamales and ice cream. Kids were seen hula hooping, and people were salsa dancing and singing.

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A multi-vehicle accident killed four people in Newington on Saturday. The crash happened around 9:02 a.m. Three people, including Gabriela Difo, a senior at Newington High School, her mother, Florinda Tineo and her aunt, Jeannette Tineo, were killed in the incident, according to a statement released by the Newington school district. A fifth person sustained minor injuries, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Less than a day after a deadly stabbing in North Haven, the community shared their thoughts as 40-year-old David Pagan, a man accused of killing a 77-year-old man on Tuesday, appeared in court on Wednesday. Pagan’s bond was set at $2 million. Pagan was charged with murder and first-degree assault after the incident which was described by police as an isolated event between family members.

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — One man is dead after a moped crash in Norwalk on Sunday morning, according to police. 52-year-old Jose Olavarria was driving a moped in the area of West Avenue and Reed Street when he was struck by a car around 3:51 a.m. Olavarria died after being transported to Norwalk Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle stayed on scene, and the crash is under investigation.
