The lifeboat crew were scrambled after vessel got into difficulty off the coast of Stonehaven. Four paddleboarders have been rescued from the North Sea by the RNLI after getting into difficulty. The town's RNLI volunteer crew were called to the incident off the coast of Stonehaven at around 8.15pm on Tuesday, June 3, and dispatched the lifeboat to reach their reported location.

More than 15 schools across Aberdeenshire have not been inspected by the Scottish Government for 15 years – the second highest number in Scotland. The statistics, released by the Scottish Government, showed that 17 (10%) of the region’s primary schools haven’t been inspected for almost two decades. These include Peterhead Central School, King Edward School and Strichen School which all haven’t been checked by government officials since 2009.
