    African National Congress Treasurer-General Dr. Gwen Ramokgopa has described the late anti-apartheid activist, Dean Tshenuwani Farisani as one of many who suffered persecution under the apartheid government. She was speaking at Farisani’s memorial service at Thohoyandou in Limpopo. Farisani, who passed away last week, will be buried on Saturday in a Special Provincial Official Funeral. Today we are in Thohoyandou to celebrate the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Tshenuwani Faruwani.

    President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed deep sadness at the passing of  Dr Tshenuwani Farisani, the renowned theologian, freedom fighter, and human rights activist, who passed away at 76 following an illness. Dr  Farisani was an African National Congress (ANC) MP, Limpopo Government Department’s MEC, and Speaker of the legislature between 1994 and 2009. Ramaphosa has offered his condolences to Farisani’s family, friends and comrades.

    The murder trial against three Radzuma siblings accused of killing two union leaders in a VBS related saga has been adjourned to next week Monday by the High Court in Thohoyandou, Limpopo. The High Court is sitting at Waterval Magistrate’s Court outside Louis Trichardt. The accused Radzuma siblings, Simon, Percy and Ndivhuwo, allegedly shot and killed two SAMWU leaders, Timson Musetsho and Ronald Mani, in January 2019.

    The murder trial of three Radzuma siblings accused of murdering two SAMWU leaders is resuming in the Thohoyandou High Court sitting at Waterval outside Louis Trichardt in Limpopo. The union leaders, Timson Musetsho and Ronald Mani, were shot and killed in Thohoyandou in separate incidents in what is believed to be related to the VBS saga in January 2019. Musetsho and Mani were vocal against the Vhembe District Municipality’s R300 million investments in the VBS.

    Ponani Makhubele has stepped down from her position as uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) Limpopo Deputy Organiser, citing concerns over the party’s lack of transparency. Makhubele, who was appointed to the provincial leadership in January this year, formally announced her resignation from both her post and the party on Monday. In her resignation, Makhubele says there are also issues of nepotism in the party.

A 38 year old male suspect has been arrested for the murder of his 74 year old father Khorommbi Nevondo and his 58 year old step mother Mercy Maphaha at Lwamondo village outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo. They were stabbed dead in their bedroom last week.Their SASSA card was stolen

A 27 year old man has been arrested after he allegedly hacked to death his mother,(59), sister, (19), and nephew aged 10 at Breda village in Gilead outside Mokopane in Limpopo. The motive for the killing is still unknown.

Three trucks have been burnt on R547- Lydenburg road in Limpopo.Police say one of the drivers said they were intercepted by six armed men in a car. He was ordered to block the road using his truck and abandon the truck. His truck and two others were then set alight. https://t.co/UGKwr0mU0N
