1. IntroductionIn recent years, there has been an increasing global demand for beef, mutton, and dairy products, leading to a pronounced supply gap for forage-fed livestock. A crucial issue is the shortage of high-quality forage. The total demand for high-quality forage in China exceeds 120 million tons. In order to ensure self-sufficiency, a forage gap of 50 million tons depends on imports.
