GREENBELT, Md. - A Maryland State Trooper was struck early Saturday morning while investigating a crash on the Capital Beltway. The trooper was taken to Shock Trauma where he has since been released. Troopers responded to the area of inner loop I-495 for a report of a trooper involved crash around 2:44 a.m.Investigators say trooper was in his marked patrol car conducting a crash investigation, when a gray Tesla struck the vehicle. The trooper's vehicle had the emergency lights activated.

BALTIMORE - Baltimore Police are investigating two separate incidents that happened overnight in Fells Point. The first happened around 2:09 a.m., in the 100 block of South Broadway in reference to a stabbing. When they arrived, they found a man with a stab wound to the body. Police say he was taken to a hospital where he later died. A little more than hour later, police were called to investigate a walk-in shooting. The victim told police he was in the 600 block of South Broadway when he was shot.

BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Police officer involved in a fatal shootout with a man earlier this week was also involved in another high-profile case. Devin Yancy, now a detective, was also involved a deadly incident where the driver of a stolen car crashed into a building causing it to collapse in 2023. He's an 8-year veteran of the department, hired by BPD on March 1, 2017. This first incident stems from an event that happened in the 1800 block of E. North Avenue.

BALTIMORE - A skatepark in Baltimore's Hampden community not only houses a lot of history, but now it's getting a makeover. Two local artists, Nether and Hiro, are painting two murals "that are all about the history of skateboarding in Baltimore."The mural depicts specific locations that are synonymous with Baltimore's skating scene.

BALTIMORE - A Baltimore man has been sentenced to life plus three years for the murder of his roommate, former Loyola University basketball star, Jamal Barney. Dayrel Mcfarland was charged with first-degree murder and deadly weapon with intent to injure for beating his roommate in October 2023. Police say they responded to the 500 block of N. Payson Street following reports of a suspicious death.
