    HOWARD COUNTY, Md. - Howard County Police are investigating a fatal collision involving four vehicles in Jessup. Friday afternoon, police say a 2017 Hyundai Sonata was traveling on Guilford Road when it crossed the double yellow line in an attempt to pass a 2021 Tesla Model Y. The Tesla was trying to make a left turn onto Twelve Sons Court. The Hyundai sideswiped the Tesla, then sideswiped a 2010 Honda fit, before colliding head-on with a 2021 Honda Civic.

    LAUREL, Md. - The Mainstreet Festival Parade in Laurel has been canceled after a propane explosion. Officials say the explosion happened at the intersection of 4th and Main Streets during vendor setup. One vendor was taken to the hospital. No other injuries were reported. BGE crews secured the area and foot traffic in the area has been reduced. While the parade was canceled, the festival will still operate as normal. This incident remains under investigation.

    ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. - A man has been charged after allegedly shooting and killing a dog he thought was a coyote. On April 23, the Anne Arundel County Police Department received an animal cruelty complaint. The owner, Shannon Smith Wood, reported her dog, a Belgian Malinois named Maisie, went missing on April 20. She also believed the dog had been shot. "No, that's not a dog. That's not a dog.
