Those living in the Evergreens Estate said they have experienced 'total devastation' of the woodlands surrounding their homes. Run by Taylor Wimpey, the Evergreens is next to the emerging Beaufort Park development of 226 homes, built by The Hill Group.

Wokingham Borough Council is looking to prohibit motor vehicles from parts of School Road in Arborfield. A draft policy indicates cars would not be allowed to exit or enter School Road between the centreline of Wood Lane for up to 20.5 metres.

A masterplan for the homes (Image: Pegasus Group) Plans for hundreds of new homes between the Wokingham and Bracknell border would lead to a 'choked thoroughfare' on major roads, councillors have warned. The latest chunk of 215 homes for the South Wokingham Strategic Development is moving ahead. This master plan will see 2,500 homes built along with two new primary schools, shops and neighbourhood centres.

Bracknell was one of 15 new towns built across the UK after WWII (Image: Bracknell Forest Council/PA) Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has said there's 'lots to admire' about Bracknell. Ms Rayner commended Bracknell as an example of one of the oldest 'new towns' in the country as Labour looks to build more across the country. Bracknell was one of the 15 new towns that were built in the UK following World War Two. Thousands of people moved there from areas of London.
