    Luxury lingerie brand Victoria Secret is set to open its first standalone store in Northern Ireland. The American retailer’s UK business, which collapsed into administration in 2020, was bought out of insolvency by a joint venture led by Next and Victoria’s Secret’s US owner L Brands. The deal saw Next take a 51% stake in the business. Since then, the lingerie brand has effectively existed in the UK as an in-store concession within Next stores.

    Belfast steakhouse group Top Blade is the latest hospitality business set to open a new venue in Portrush ahead of The Open in July. The St Anne’s Square hospitality business, which also runs a restaurant in Portadown, has been linked with a site next to the former Barry’s Amusements complex. The north coast town has become a magnet for hospitality investment in the months counting down to the golf major tournament’s return.

    A high profile property developer has failed in a bid to overturn a council’s decision to refuse planning permission for a multi-million-pound housing scheme on the Rostrevor coastline. The proposal from Gary McCausland’s Richland Group involved a 45-unit residential development along the scenic Shore Road area of the Co Down village. The bid, which centred on a former car dealership and garage buildings, was originally launched in 2021.

    Budget airline Ryanair’s operation at Belfast International Airport has flown its six millionth passenger. The Irish carrier, which began flying from the Co Antrim airport in 2016, has confirmed its summer operation will involve 176 weekly flights across 19 routes. Ryanair said it will retain the Kaunas air connection, which it first launched from Belfast International Airport last winter. But the airline has dropped flights to Lisbon and Turin from the 2025 summer programme.
