A partially-sighted man will travel the length of Britain to mark the 160th anniversary of a Fife-based sight loss charity. Kris Baillie has been supported by Seescape for 10 years, and to repay the favour he is travelling from Shetland to Penzance in Cornwall to raise funds that will go towards helping others experiencing vision loss.

Sir Tom, who founded the garage chain Kwik Fit and was also a former director of MyTravel Group and Scottish Power, died at his Edinburgh home on Friday. The motorcyclist was killed on a stretch of road near Logie, in Moray. A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a lorry. The 64-year-old man’s Honda CBI300 collided with a grey Renault HGV on the A940 Forres to Grantown road near Logie, Moray, around 6.30pm on Saturday.
