RACINE — Bill O’Malley rarely sleeps well on Sunday nights. His thoughts race about the upcoming week, so he tosses and turns. “Your mind is always on this job, because there’s so many lives at stake,” O’Malley said. Being Park High School’s directing principal is fun — yet stressful, and O’Malley embraces all aspects of the job. “It’s definitely difficult, but it is definitely worth it,” he said.

RACINE — Kylee Schlafer started ballet at age 3. She immediately liked it and has progressed during the past seven years. Ballet also has led to friendships with her classmates. Schlafer particularly enjoys recitals, and she hopes to one day perform in “Swan Lake.”Schlafer, a fifth grader, is one of 10 Knapp Elementary School students who will be showcased later this month in THE PASSIONS PROJECT — Racial and Social Justice Racine. She is thrilled to be part of the project.
