With election day quickly approaching, Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris made one last campaign stop in East Lansing in her fight to win the battleground state of Michigan. The campaign rally was held at Jenison Field House on MSU’s campus, filling the 6,000-seat arena to near capacity. Before doors opened at 2:30 p.m., attendees waited in a line stretching across Dem Field, backed up to the Spartan Statue.

If you were asked to name the first thought that comes to mind when I say the words “concept album,” what would you say? For most, it would be fair to assume that nothing compares to the prog rock English band Pink Floyd and their monumental achievement that is The Wall. After The Wall‘s release at the tail end of 1979, the band began touring the album shortly after. The first show was performed on February 7, 1980.

November 21, 2023 Do you ever feel like you’re being watched? You fidget in place as the hairs on your arm stand up, your shirt sitting funny on your back. Does my shirt look stupid? Maybe the tag is sticking out. Oh! Maybe my backpack is unzipped and something’s fallen out. No? Does my jacket have a stain on it? You look down. No. Then, what is it? Turning your head, you search for the observer you sensed. Something’s wrong; something’s off. Yet, there’s no one.

October 17, 2023 Having peace and quiet is a rare instance in life. There’s always the rustling of classmates, the buzz from your phone or the loud blaring train horn outside your dorm. Feeling overwhelmed no matter where you go, you can’t help but want to escape for a while. Solo efforts dating back to 2014 and collaboration under the band The Sticks in 2017, Ricky Montgomery can’t seem to escape making music.
