The rally was hosted by Richmond Moms Demand Action. The event aimed to honor lives lost due to gun violence and demand meaningful action to prevent future tragedies. For many in attendance, the fight against gun violence isn’t abstract, it’s personal.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — If you’re planning to vote by mail in Virginia’s upcoming primary election, today is your final chance to request a mail-in ballot. Voters can apply for a ballot online through the Virginia Department of Elections or in person at their local registrar’s office. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 6. Once approved, ballots will be mailed to voters’ homes, allowing them to cast their votes without visiting a polling place.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Some Virginia students claim that they are not getting easy access to pads and tampons despite a that requires schools to provide free menstrual products in restrooms. According to , each school board is required to make tampons or pads available at all times and with no cost to students. The law also requires products to be in accessible locations as deemed appropriate in each elementary school and the bathrooms of each middle school and high school.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Following low water pressure reported by many in Henrico County on Thursday, the county announced that the issues are due to a water main break in Richmond. Water tanks have filled overnight to continue providing water service. According to a Henrico County spokesperson, a water main break at Canal and 8th Streets in Richmond on Thursday, May 29, caused reports of low water pressure throughout the county.
