Several people displaced after Rancho Cordova duplex fire RANCHO CORDOVA – A residential duplex in Rancho Cordova went up in flames early Tuesday morning, displacing at least eight people. Metro Fire of Sacramento crews responded to the scene on S. White Rock Road just before 5 a.m. and found flame shooting from the structure. Crews were able to save one unit of the duplex, but the other side was wrecked by the fire.

Road closures to begin for California International Marathon SACRAMENTO – This weekend, athletes will be running from Folsom to Sacramento for the 41st California International Marathon. The race begins on Sunday at 7 a.m. near the Folsom Dam. This course runs from there to the California State Capitol building. A total of 11,000 runners are expected to for the race. While it's a milestone for them, it can mean some detours starting Friday for the rest of us.
