A section of Old Ross Road in Llantilio Crossenny has been closed to allow the emergency repair of a burst water main. The closure has been put in place by Morrison Water Services, working on behalf of Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water. Monmouthshire County Council have confirmed that the closure is expected to remain in place until and including Wednesday, June 18. They have put a signed diversion in place for the duration of the closure.

The Owl Sanctuary at Festival Park suffered three separate incidents of vandalism in April, leaving the community saddened and angry. He has been receiving treatment at a hospital in Thailand, with medical bills potentially reaching £50,000.
