Many of these routes can be found in our county’s best-known destinations, but our unsung villages often hold trails that are just as good, if not better, than their famous neighbours. Take Temple Ewell for example - there’s a good chance you may never have heard of this village, and that’s largely down to it being overshadowed by nearby Dover.

A busy stretch of the M25 in Kent is set to shut overnight on three weekends, impacting journeys near Dartford. National Highways has confirmed “essential resurfacing“ works will soon start on the M25 anti-clockwise at Junction 2 for the Darenth Interchange, requiring three separate closures. The first of these will take place this weekend from 10pm on Saturday (April 26) until 7am on Sunday (April 27).

With a weekend of warm weather fast approaching, anyone with plans that involve travel around Kent via train will need to make note of some key changes to Southeastern services. On Saturday (April 26) and Sunday (April 27) works are due to take place between Paddock Wood and Strood, closing all lines between the stations.
