In an email communication from President Jay Bernhardt on Tuesday, he announced that Emerson College’s tuition and financial aid are expected to rise in the upcoming year. Current students have been told to expect to see a rise in their cost of attendance for the upcoming academic year, along with an increase in their financial aid packages, according to the email.

The 129th running of the Boston Marathon came and went on Monday, with nearly 300,000 spectators flocking to cheer on the more than 32,000 racers. Posters and homemade signs decorated the 26.2-mile marathon route, with messages like “You’re doing gr8, sweaty” and “Power Up!” to give racers some added motivation before crossing the finish line. Tens of thousands of spectators circled the Lexington Battle Green at 5:15 a.m. on April 19 to witness the start of the American Revolution. Silence fell over the crowd in anticipation of the reenactment of “the shot heard round the world.” As the first signs of dusk lightened the sky, many people stood on their tiptoes to catch a glimpse of the Battle of Lexington unfold. People from all over the country traveled to honor this moment in history.

On Monday, the Living Learning Community at Kasteel Well hosted students, politicians, artists, academics, and scientists for the first-ever Kasteel Well Forum in the final days of the spring 2025 semester. An all-day event attended by a crowd of roughly 150, the forum marked the first time in the Kasteel program’s 40-year history that stakeholders from the community of Well and surrounding local areas were invited onto campus to see how students are learning and interacting with Dutch culture.

For Anna Bigelow, traveling to Barcelona has been a long-time dream. Bigelow and her younger brother, both fluent Spanish speakers, had once planned a mock trip to the Spanish city for a project in grade school. Their dream was finally realized while Anna was on a travel break from studying at Emerson’s Kasteel Well campus in the Netherlands this semester.
