We're running a little summer school on Saturday 28 June and Sunday 29 June at 10-13 Thomas Street, in the Digital Hub, in Dublin 8. In five two-hour sessions, members of our team will work with groups of up to 15 people on skills and knowledge that could be used in journalism, but also just by Dubliners who are involved in their communities and trying to make the city a better place.

Agnes Svejda lives near Liffey Valley, works in Blanchardstown, and depends on the W4 bus to get her to work and back. It often lets her down, Svejda says. She’s put in five reports about it via our No-Show Bus Tracker since January. The service in the morning is pretty good, but in the evening it’s really pretty unreliable, she said by phone recently. “It’s a bit of a nightmare.”And when the bus doesn’t come, she has to pick between a long wait, or a €28 taxi fare to get home, Svejda says.

Local election candidates have to – and did – report to the council donations over €600 they received to help pay for their campaigns last year. That someone at the council then decided to redact that information before publishing the disclosure forms was a surprise, several said.
