    LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Four Fayette County Public Schools employees face criminal charges. Jaime Caldwell is accused of hitting a man with her car on her way to work and driving off. Lexington Police say they found her at Glendover Elementary School, where she is a teacher. Officers say she was more than three times over the legal limit for alcohol. The man she hit with her car later died. John Bordas, the dean of students at Bryan Station High School, is charged with wanton endangerment.

    LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Each year, inspectors from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture inspect the roughly 60,000 gas pumps across the state. They check the quality and quantity of fuel at every pump. Inspectors look for signs of bad gas and complete a weights and measures test to make sure you actually get the gallon of gas you pay for. They also check for skimmers, which are devices that criminals use to steal your credit card information.

    LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A grand jury will consider the case against a man accused of driving on the Blue Grass Airport runway in February. According to his arrest citation, 51-year-old Steven Allen Hockensmith of Lexington drove his car through an airport fence on Versailles Road, across an active runway and then onto the taxiway. Police say Hockensmith continued onto the aviation ramp, passing several parked planes, before he crashed into a parked golf cart.

    LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It’s been nearly ten months since the ‘Safer Kentucky Act’ went into effect, making it illegal to camp or sleep in public areas. Records obtained by WKYT’s Samantha Valentino show the number of citations issued for unlawful camping in Lexington is trending down. Since the law took effect on July 15, 58 people have been charged with unlawful camping. In the two weeks after the ‘Safer Kentucky Act’ took effect, 15 people were charged.
