LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Fayette County Public Schools says the occupational licensing tax hike proposal will be on the June 23 school board agenda, according to FCPS Spokesperson Dia Davidson-Smith. The board passed the tax hike last week. RELATEDHowever, on Wednesday, the Kentucky attorney general stated that it was not legal because the school board did not provide a one-week notice to the public before voting.

According to the agenda for Tuesday’s school board meeting, FCPS Deputy Superintendent Houston Barber is scheduled to present a resolution, which would ask for the increased tax.
