    ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Drivers whose license plates have seen better days now have a chance to replace them. A free event to help residents with peeling or illegible license plates will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 15 at the AAA office at 2072 Downyflake Lane. There will be officers on site to sign applicable state Transportation Department forms verifying a plate is illegible. The form will be submitted to PennDOT and a new plate delivered in the mail for free.
