The permit, filed by Lever Architecture, is valued at over $17.3 million. New details for a planned Live Nation music venue on the Central Eastside have emerged as developers file permits and prepare for construction. A building permit filed with the city shows the venue will be three stories with a mezzanine for a “single-occupant music venue” along with space for food services, locker rooms for performers, a loading dock, offices and artist lounge.

The first three sites on the 205-acre development site will bring housing to the area. The first three developers have been selected for the Heights District development in Vancouver. Edlen & Co., Palindrome and Related NW were chosen to develop three city-owned sites in the Heights District, at Mill Plain Boulevard and Devine Road. The developers were selected through a Request for Proposals by the City of Vancouver and the Heights Community Investment Committee last year.

The James Beard Public Market is a step closer to reality as the nonprofit behind the project begins to finalize plans for its buildout. The long-anticipated market will be 38,000 square feet in the historic Ungar Building on Alder Street downtown and the first floor of the adjoining Sellers Building.
