LANESBORO, Minn. — The 150-year-old building at the corner of Parkway Avenue and Coffee Street in Lanesboro means something different to every generation. The building, constructed in 1875 by one of the town’s early settlers, Mike Scanlan, was first a general store with living quarters upstairs, according to writer and local historian Steve Harris. But in other years it’s been the home of the Lanesboro Journal, a furniture store, an arcade, and a pool hall, among many other businesses.

Big Head Burrito announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Feb. 26 that it would be temporarily closing the business while looking for a new location. The original location was 937-square-foot at 308 First Ave. NW.
