There’s a lot of teaching and technique work going on as Kellen Moore and his staff continue to install the way they want things to be done. Just because the Saints are rebuilding doesn’t mean there’s not a sense of urgency among the group.

(Louisiana First) – Seeing Chris Olave back on the field, participating in full and healthy, is certainly a welcome sight after the wide receiver missed multiple games last season due to a head injury. Olave suffered two concussions in the 2024 season, the second one coming in Week 9 at Carolina, which sidelined him for the rest of the season. It wasn’t an easy journey back to the field.

METAIRIE, La. (Louisiana First) – The New Orleans Saints opened mandatory minicamp Tuesday in sweltering heat with hundreds of fans watching a new era of black and gold football. The heat of the story of practice one. The Saints held practice at noon with heat indexes of over 100 degrees. Practice gave the players a taste of what things will be like come July when New Orleans opens training camp. “It was a little tropical,” said rookie quarterback Tyler Shough.

(Louisiana First) — New Orleans Saints executive vice president and general manager Mickey Loomis spoke for the first time Wednesday since news broke of the potential of quarterback Derek Carr missing the 2025 season with a shoulder injury. Loomis wasted no time addressing the topic. “He does have an issue with his shoulder,” Loomis said in his opening statement. “We’re hoping to get some resolution and clarity on that in the near, near future. When we do, I’ll report back to you.
