NSW's counter terrorism chief has told an inquiry he expressed his suspicions that an explosives laden caravan was not a legitimate terrorism plot against a Sydney synagogue from the very beginning. NSW Deputy Police Commissioner David Hudson saidthe source behind the terrorism plot theory was not discredited until Febraury 21, the day after the NSW government had passed controversial hate speech and religious worship laws through parliament.

But a clinical trial by NSW Ambulance has been buying cardiac arrest patients life-saving time, by bringing a machine that's usually only available in hospital to the scene of cardiac arrests around Sydney. Its results so far are among the best in the world.

Dozens of AFP officers, soldiers and forensics experts gathered for a training drill at a "body farm" run by the University of Technology Sydney near the Blue Mountains. The drill mimicked a disaster, but the bodies first responders identified were real. The UTS facility is the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere, which allows for studies on how bodies decompose in Australia's climate.

NSW Police have now charged a second Bankstown Hospital worker, Ahmad Rashad Nadir, over a video posted online which contained alleged threats against Israeli patients. He has been granted conditional bail and is due in court later this month. Another nurse in the video, Sarah Abu Lebdeh, was charged earlier this month.
