Co Fermanagh company Encirc, a manufacturer of glass bottles with nearly 1,500 staff, was the Outstanding Business of the Year.

Emma Little-Pengelly said the “wanton destruction” of our natural landscape has to stop. A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a huge wildfire engulfed a vast stretch of the Mourne Mountains last night. Emergency services declared a “major incident” as dozens of firefighters tackled the blaze. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Today a new gorse fire is spreading across the Mournes. Police said the Slievenaman Road, Newcastle was closed due to the wildfire.
