A man has been charged over the death of a cyclist in an alleged hit-and-run in Bundaberg. The 34-year-old cyclist was hit by a black Hyundai IX35 while riding on Takalvan St at Millbank about 7.50pm on Tuesday. Queensland Police said they believe the Hyundai IX35 was stolen. A second person has died in Queensland’s flood emergency as unprecedented downpours continue to smash the state’s far north. A father who died alongside his young son in a shocking two-car crash in Brisbane’s south has been identified. Chris Vrbesic, 37, was driving his blue Holden Commodore along Rickertt Rd in Ransome when he crashed with a red Mitsubishi Lancer at the intersection with Chelsea Road just before 9am on Sunday.
