    Urgent safety upgrades have been made to Sydney Olympic Park station ahead of the Easter Show, with rubber strips used to close the gap between trains and platforms. More than a dozen people, mostly children, fell through the cracks at the station this time last year, which proves annually to be a dangerous period. More broadly, 523 people have fallen through the gaps at Sydney train stations in the last 12 months.
