On the anniversary of the deadly crash on Interstate 83 in York County that left multiple construction workers dead, an arrest has been made. The three people police say Davenport crashed into in the active work zone are Robert Hampe, Jesse McKenzie, and Philson Heinbaugh. Reed Davenport, 25, from Maryland, was charged with three counts of third-degree murder, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, and reckless driving, among other things.

On Wednesday, the man accused of driving his mother's dead body to an apartment complex in Penn Township will have his case heard in county court. Kevin Ahn, 31, is facing an abuse of corpse charge. You can view our previous article on Ahn here. He appeared in person for his preliminary hearing at Judge Torrey Landis' Ephrata office. The judge said Ahn will continue being held at the Lancaster County Prison without bail due to a separate felony charge he has in Maryland.

A retired PSP trooper testified about accusing Jere Bagenstose of killing his estranged wife, Maryann Bagenstose, back in 1984. This was Trooper Ray Guth's second time on the stand. He became the lead investigator of the case in 1990. On Thursday, Guth testified to three conversations he had with Bagenstose during his investigation. On May 13, 1993, Guth and Johnson went to Bagenstose's home on West Willow Street.

Day 4 of testimony in the Jere Bagenstose trial took place on Wednesday. Maryann Bagenstose's mother hired Richard Jefferies, a private detective, two days after the disappearance. Jefferies continued to work on the case until about 2010, the majority of the time unpaid. During the course of his investigation, Jefferies said he noted his endeavors but did not write reports. He also testified some of his notes were destroyed after he retired, including some from this case.
