Since Feb. 3, when a cyberattack shut down most systems at Lee Enterprises, the parent company of the Opelika-Auburn News, teams have been working day and night to bring you the complete newspaper you expect. More than 22,000 Alabama Power customers in Central Alabama and 73,000 statewide are without power Sunday morning as a result of overnight severe weather, according to Alabama Power. A weather forecast for overnight Saturday threatened severe weather, including tornadoes, strong winds and flooding.

Two Beulah teenagers were killed in a Christmas Eve shooting at their home on Lee Road 2113, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office. An 18-year-old suspect whose name authorities have yet to release has been arrested on capital murder charges in the shooting that left 18-year-old Madison Daly and 19-year-old Kayden Lynch dead. Their bodies will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensics Sciences in Montgomery for a post mortem exam.

A Montgomery man was arrested on Sunday in the mass shooting at Tuskegee University that killed 18-year-old La'Tavion Johnson and injuring 16 others, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Authorities said 25-year-old Jaquez Myrick was found in possession of a handgun with a machine gun conversion device and spotted leaving the scene of the campus shooting. He was charged with federally with possession of a machine gun.
