Belfast is set to get 100 e-bikes for the city thanks to a £500,000 boost for the popular hire scheme. On Wednesday, it was announced that Beryl would be the new operator of the Belfast Bikes scheme and e-bikes would be introduced to the fleet for the first time. As well as the 100 e-bikes, they will also provide 300 pedal bikes. It comes after the Department for Infrastructure awarded Belfast City Council £500,000 to support Active Travel projects across Northern Ireland.
