On October 27th, the student led club Cabrini Spectrum, a LGBTQIA+ campus organization, held an Outfest event in The Grill at the Widener center. What is Outfest? According to Galaeiqbipoc.org, Outfest, which is also now known as OURfest, is held in Philadelphia and is known as the largest National Coming Out Day event. Throughout this event there are festivals/fairs, and a parade. These events take place in the streets of Philly.

Students and faculty filled Grace Hall for the 13th annual domestic violence symposium on Wednesday, Oct. 11. The symposium, presented by the Barbara and John Jordan Center for Children of Trauma and Domestic Violence Education, featured a keynote address from Lynn Rosenthal, director of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele also gave remarks.

The Cabrini Involvement Fair took place Wednesday, Sep 13th and according to the clubs, students are still involved. Even with the school closing, Student Engagement and Leadership (SEaL) Assistant Director Raina Johnson said, “There are a lot of students who want to join clubs, and I still get emails wondering what clubs are available.”Despite the closing of Cabrini, many staff and faculty seem to be taking on the mindset of business as usual. The SEaL office is no different.
