    BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — BOISE, Idaho — The Opaline Schoolhouse, a historic building located across from Albertsons Stadium on Boise State University property, has reopened its doors after years of sitting empty. The schoolhouse, which hasn't been used for teaching since the early 1900s, has been part of the Boise State campus since the 1980s.     BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — BOISE, Idaho — Vangie Osborn is preserving Boise's history by restoring neon signs, the last remnants of businesses long gone. "All those businesses are gone, and the signage is what's here," she said. Osborn began collecting antique signs years ago and founded the nonprofit, The Signs of Our Times. As she has continued to refurbish signs, finding permanent homes for them has been difficult.

    BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — C.W. Moore Park, one of Boise's oldest parks, is welcoming the public back after undergoing improvements that officials say enhance the park's accessibility, usability, and historical elements. The park has been around since the 1930s and has always included many historical artifacts. Boise City's Director of the Department of Art and History said the refresh better organizes the existing historical artifacts and has made room for new ones.

    BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise's CATCH, Charitable Assistance To Community’s Homeless, is asking members of the community to donate to their cause. The organization says that as the temperatures start rising across the valley, so does their list of necessary items. CATCH is asking for bottled water, reusable water bottles, sports drinks, hygiene kits, sleeping bags, bug spray, as well as socks and undergarments. Donations can be dropped off at their facility at 503 S Americana Blvd.

    BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is continuing to pass rules in the Senate and the House before they bring proposed bills forward. The House went through 13 today, and many of them followed IDHW Director Alex Adams' opening remarks from earlier this week of consolidating Idaho code and putting more decision-making power back into lawmakers' hands.
