A new restaurant concept combining the Cinnabon cinnamon roll and Carvel ice cream is coming to metro Atlanta. Cinnabon Swirl, as it’s called, is the first original concept by Atlanta-based fast casual restaurant giant GoTo Foods, which owns Auntie Anne’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Schlotzsky’s and the two aforementioned dessert franchises. GoTo Foods acquired its other brands over the years, while Cinnabon Swirl is its own creation.

A bill to reinstate Georgia’s tax credit for postproduction expenditures in film and television cleared both the House and Senate on Wednesday and is now headed for the governor’s desk. House Bill 129 allows a postproduction company in Georgia spending at least $500,000 on qualified expenditures on a project to receive a 20% credit, with an additional 10% if the project was shot in Georgia. There is another 5% add-on if postproduction workis completed in a rural county.

A lawsuit over Kandi Burruss’ steak and seafood restaurant in southwest Atlanta appeared to be headed for a settlement with the eatery’s landlord, but days later the reality television star’s companies pulled out of the deal, court records show. At issue is a lawsuit filed by landlord Montego Pacific Inc. over unpaid rent and property damage at the site of Blaze Steak & Seafood.
