INDIANAPOLIS - The fiancé of a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash feels let down by the justice system after the driver responsible was sentenced to just one year of house arrest and two years of probation. Alexandra Leal, 30, was killed in September along Lynhurst Drive on the southwest side of Indianapolis. Since her death, Leal's family and loved ones have maintained a roadside memorial near where she was struck.

RICHMOND, Ind. - Two people are in life-threatening condition after an explosion and fire tore through a home in Richmond on Thursday, sending neighbors jumping into action to help. Emergency crews were called to the 100 block of Randolph Street around 8:47 a.m. After extinguishing the fire, investigators spent much of the rest of the day combing through what was left of the home. They say two adults were airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital for specialized burn treatment.

EDINBURGH, Ind. - Law enforcement officials in Johnson and Bartholomew counties are urging residents to stay vigilant following a recent string of overnight car break-ins. According to Edinburgh Police Chief Doyne Little, investigators believe three men and one woman are responsible. The group has been caught on security footage targeting unlocked vehicles, stealing valuables under the cover of darkness while most residents were asleep.

Thursday, for the first time, AES invited any concerned customers to meet with representatives in person for what they call "community office hours."Over the span of two hours at the Julia M.
