Recently the Journal published a negative and misleading opinion piece by Kevin Wilson essentially accusing me and Taylor Jacobs of being anti-veteran. Let me set the record straight. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army. My grandfather was a veteran, my father is a veteran, my three older brothers are veterans, my little sister is a veteran, my brother-in-law is a veteran, two of my daughters are veterans, my son-in-law is a veteran, I have several nieces and nephews who are veterans.

The Charlotte City Council just approved $650 million to renovate Bank of America Stadium. In return, the Panthers and Charlotte FC will stay in Charlotte for at least 20 more years. The stadium, one of the NFL’s oldest, has housed the Panthers since 1996 and has seen updates but nothing as extensive as the proposed renovations approved on Monday. BREAKING: Charlotte City Council voted 7-3 to approve the Bank of America Stadium upgrades.
