HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The University of Miami is wiping the slate clean when the NCAA Hattiesburg Regional begins Friday. The Hurricanes have endured a rough stretch heading into the NCAA Tournament, losing seven of their last eight games. Miami coach J.D. Arteaga said there was uncertainty before his team made the field of 64, but the plan this weekend will be to go out there and play loose. “It was a week of uncertainty,” Arteaga said. “We weren’t sure if we were getting in or not.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - When the NCAA Hattiesburg Regional starts this weekend, it’ll be a homecoming for University of Alabama senior Will Hodo. Hodo grew up an hour away from Hattiesburg in the City of Waynesboro. The infielder’s baseball journey gained traction at Wayne Academy, where In four seasons at the varsity level, he had a career batting average of .430 in 105 games and 86 runs batted in. Hodo has spent four years with the Crimson Tide.
