After a visit that began Saturday, April 12 during the University of Cincinnati Spring Showcase football scrimmage and Big 12 baseball game, the UC Bearcats basketball team has added another player from the transfer portal. Jalen Celestine, a 6-foot-7, 215-pound guard from Baylor has joined the 2025-26 Wes Miller Bearcats after briefly taking a visit to Santa Clara. Celestine made it official April 21 on social media.

Redshirt senior Tony Johnson, who caught one-third of Brendan Sorsby's touchdown passes for the Cincinnati Bearcats in 2024 is on the move in the transfer portal. His name was officially entered Friday afternoon. Johnson was held out of the recent spring showcase scrimmage and the Bearcats do have depth at receiver, but the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder seemed to have a connection with Sorsby last season.

From now until Friday, April 25 teams can add to their rosters to cover their subtractions and/or defections.
