Tuesday, the Erie Catholic Diocese announced the creation of a $372,000 fund to support Saint Stephen Grade School in Oil City. According to the announcement, the fund will pay for programs, recruitment and maintenance.

The Erie SeaWolves started their 2025 season Friday night by celebrating their 2024 Eastern League championship. Sean Lafferty was live at UPMC Park where a special ceremony took place and there was a lot of excited fans there. The Erie SeaWolves celebrate their 2024 Eastern League championship and the 2025 season opener on Friday evening. There was a banner raising at UPMC Park before the first pitch at 6:05. There was also be a ring ceremony for SeaWolves employees on the field.

This is an update on a story we reported back in the fall. The LORD-Shope superfund site on Pieper Road in Girard Township was used to dump industrial waste from the 1950s to the 70s.
