    The world famous Grand Lake ospreys have been busy so far this spring. Over the past few days, they’ve laid a grand total of three eggs: one on May 8, one on May 10 and one on May 13. A couple days after the first egg was born live on camera, Kent Roorda, manager of the livestream, informed the world that there was more to come.

    The Middle Park High School boys lacrosse team’s thrilling season came end on Friday night at Loveland Sports Park with a hard-fought 11-4 loss to Resurrection Christian. After falling behind early, the Panthers went down 2-6 at halftime. They battled hard in the third quarter to bring the score to 4-6. But their hopes were dashed in the fourth when they gave up five goals in a row. In the gallant loss, Jordan Anderson had two goals for the Panthers; Simon Wilcox and Henry Waldorf each had one.

    After cruising through lax competition in the second half of the regular season, the Middle Park High School girls soccer team won 1-0 nail biter against Thomas McLaren on Wednesday. The lone goal came from a first-half corner kick by junior striker Aylin Rios which deflected off a defender into the goal, said Middle Park athletic director Scotty Hicks. Rios leads the team with 20 goals this season. The Middle Park team is now 13-3 on the year.
