PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police officers will soon be trading in their recognizable powder blue uniform tops for "midnight" navy blue shirts, Sgt. Eric Gripp said. "This change is part of a broader effort to honor our department's history while preparing for the future," Gripp said in a statement Wednesday.
