Victoria's Supreme Court has heard a driver who killed a philanthropist and seriously injured three other people during a driving rampage in Melbourne's CBD was mentally impaired at the time. John Haasz, 76, was killed in the September 8, 2023 incident, in which the driver hit three pedestrians at a tram stop on Bourke Street before speeding through a red light and colliding with two cars, including Mr Haasz's.
