    With just a few hours until the filing deadline, three people have filed to run for mayor of Cincinnati – current Democratic Mayor Aftab Pureval and Republicans Cory Bowman and Brian Frank. The deadline to file is today at 4 p.m.It's too soon to know who will be on the ballot. The candidates need 500 signatures from registered Cincinnati voters, an amount all three men collected. Pureval filed 968 signatures; Bowman; 757; and Frank, 1043, according to Hamilton County Board of Elections officials.

    A new study has found that relocating Cincinnati's Government Square transit hub would negatively impact ridership and increase operational costs. The study determined that moving operations to the Riverfront Transit Center would increase travel times and require significant additional resources. Safety concerns at Government Square, which prompted the study, were found to be less severe than in other downtown areas.

    Metro's transit hub should remain at Government Square in the heart of Downtown Cincinnati, a study released Tuesday found. The study, done in the wake of an increase in violence at the bus hub early last year, analyzed the service impact of relocating Metro’s operations and ridership.
