The school contacted 5th grade parents on Monday, informing them of a threat "several weeks ago."According to Hamilton County Schools policy, administrators are required to report all threats immediately to law enforcement and may notify families based on the level of risk.

UPDATE: A several-acre brush fire on Howardsville Road in Apison has been contained, fire officials report. PREVIOUS: 6-8 acres caught fire due to a homeowner burning brush, the Tri-Community VFD says in response to one of the two fires they are working on in the Tennessee Valley Monday. As of now, they reported no structural endangerment or injuries regarding both of the fires.
