Nottinghamshire Police want to speak to the woman pictured after money which was mistakenly withdrawn from a cash machine was taken. A man walked away from the machine outside Asda in Mansfield after accidently withdrawing £100 from it. By the time the user realised their mistake and returned to the same ATM, the cash was nowhere to be seen. After reviewing CCTV for the store in Bancroft Lane, the police saw the next user of the machine had pocketed the money.

Nottinghamshire Police’s ongoing ‘Walk in My Shoes’ campaign is inviting women and girls across the county to complete the force’s online survey to identify problem areas where they feel unsafe.

A prolific thief has been returned to jail after flouting a court order banning him from a convenience store. John Evans, 34, was banned from entering the shop, in Barringer Road, Mansfield, in November 2023 as part of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) secured by local officers. Evans, who has multiple previous convictions for theft, flouted the order by entering the store to steal various items including biscuits on March 24, 27 and 31, this year.
