Hierarchical (Ni,Co)0.85Se Sheets for Efficient Oxygen Evolution Reaction Electrocatalysis: A Combined Approach of Fabrication Control and Mechanistic Understanding
We present a fabrication process for hierarchical (Ni,Co)0.85Se sheets, achieving efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity with a 10 mA cm−2 current density at an overpotential of 290 mV. Porous architecture and doping improve kinetics, supported by DFT calculations.

IntroductionOver the last few decades, the global prevalence of obesity has progressively risen, coinciding with changes in dietary and lifestyle patterns.1 According to data from the World Health Organization, in 1975, only 2.8% of the global population were considered obese, whereas by 2016, this figure had risen to 13% of adults, or ∼650 million people globally.2 Obesity negatively affects physiological functions and poses a significant threat to public health.

AbstractLong-lasting La Niña events (including double-year and triple-year La Niña events) have become more frequent in recent years. How the multi-year La Niña events affect tropical cyclone (TC) activities in the western North Pacific (WNP) and whether they differ from single-year La Niña events are unknown. Here we show that TCs are more active over the far-WNP (FWNP, 110°–150°E), leading to marked high risks at China coasts during the second decaying summer of double-year La Niña events.

Pseudaminic acid (Pse) belongs to a class of bacterial non-2-ulosonic acids, which has been implicated in bacterial infection and immune evasion. Various Pse structures with diverse N-substitutions have been identified in pathogenic bacterial strains like Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Campylobacter jejuni, and Acinetobacter baumannii.
