1. IntroductionClick to copy section linkSection link copied!Pneumonia causes approximately 2.38 million deaths annually, with its high mortality rate primarily attributed to complications such as multiple organ failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and metastatic infections. (1,2) The widespread transmission of bacteria and viruses further increases challenges of treatment.

AbstractPowering and communicating with wearable devices on bio-interfaces is challenging due to strict weight, size, and resource constraints. This study presents a sunflower-like plant-wearable sensing device that harnesses solar energy, achieving complete energy self-sustainability for long-term monitoring of plant sap flow, a crucial indicator of plant health.

The large amounts of acidic wastewater produced during industrial production results in grave environmental and financial issues. Recovering acid from industrial wastewaters offers an effective solution for enhancing economic efficiency and addressing environmental pollution [1], [2], [3], [4]. The utilization of membrane-based diffusion dialysis for acid recovery is considered a cost-effective and environmentally friendly process with promising applications [3], [5], [6], [7].

Quantum key distribution (QKD) could help to share a secure key between two distant peers. In recent years, twin-field (TF) QKD has been widely investigated because of its long transmission distance. One of the popular variants of TF QKD is sending-or-not-sending (SNS) QKD, which has been experimentally verified to realize 1000-km level fiber key distribution. In this article, we introduce phase postselection into the SNS protocol.

Twin-field (TF) quantum key distribution (QKD) has been extensively researched because of its long transmission distance. The phase-encoding TF-QKD can realize both a high key rate and a long transmission distance, so it has attracted a lot of attention. In this article, we are inspired by the sending-or-not-sending TF-QKD, in which the information leakages of correct rounds and erroneous rounds are calculated separately.
