ZANESVILLE, OH – If you love books and animals, this weekend is the perfect chance to combine the two. Breaking Free Therapeutic Riding Center is holding Read with a Horse on April 19th. Kids will get an hour to read to a real horse using a book from home or one provided onsite. Families can choose from one of two sessions. Sessions run from 10 AM to 12 PM and 12:30 to 2:30. “It’s amazing. The kids love it. The horses love it. Children of all ages are invited to attend.

ZANESVILLE, OH – A splash of color and creativity just made its way to the Zanesville Museum of Art, and it’s all thanks to some very talented young artists. The ZMA recently installed its annual Muskingum County K-12 Student Art Exhibition. With more than 400 pieces on display, the exhibit features artwork from students across schools in the county to shine a light on the creativity of the area’s youngest artists.

ZANESVILLE, OH – There’s a new leader stepping into a key role in Muskingum County. Eric Reed has stepped in as the new Executive Director of the Muskingum County Port Authority. He takes over for Matt Abbott, who recently accepted a new position as President of Ohio Southeast Economic Development. Reed previously served as Muskingum County Administrator for about four years. He explained how his previous experience has helped him prepare for this new role.
