TIERNAN LYNCH stressed his Derry City side must back up their win over Shelbourne by seeing off St Patrick’s Athletic tomorrow evening. The Candystripes leapfrogged the champions into fifth with an emphatic 2-0 win at the Brandywell on Friday night. First-half strikes from Michael Duffy and Liam Boyce did the damage against the Reds. It was the first time Derry beat Shels in the league since a 1-0 win at Tolka Park in March 2022.
