Foyle Harps 6 ... Ballymac Celtic 1Foyle Harps cruised to a dominant win over Ballymac in this year’s Thomas ‘Burkey Cup’ final at Oakland Park. All the damage was done in the first 30 minutes of Thursday’s final, and especially in a devastating period which brought three goals in just seven minutes to ensure that the result of this final was never in doubt, even with an hour of the game still to be played.

Derry City 1Shamrock Rovers 2Shamrock Rovers came from behind to win at the Brandywell, with former Derry City star Aaron McEneff scoring a last-minute winner. The midfielder fired home from close range to complete a superb comeback from Rovers, who had fallen behind earlier in the half to Danny Mullen’s fifth goal of the season. It was a bitter pill for City to swallow, with Tiernan Lynch’s team now falling eight points behind the league leaders, although they have played a game less.

Danny Sheerin - ‘I DID IT MY WAY’Danny Sheerin will never be forgotten. The most famous amateur runner the city has ever produced ran more miles than most of us could ever dream. Marathons, half marathons, triathlons, Danny did it all, again and again and again and again and again, until he sadly passed away in August, 2022. “I had a conversation with my father years ago and I asked him what he did with his life to pass the time,” he explained on the 30th anniversary of the Liam Ball Triathlon.

FT - Derry City 1-0 St. Patrick's Athletic A huge scuffle on the sidelines leads to red cards for St. Pat's coach Sean O'Conor and player Tom Grivosti (already substituted). Seconds later the full time whistle goes. A massive win for Derry City thanks to Danny Muleln's goal.

Five added minutes here at the Brandywell.

Danny Mullen now joins Mark Farren and Liam Coyle with six goals against St. Patrick's Athletic, just two behind the club's top scorer against the Dublin side, Ciaran Martyn. https://t.co/Y0rm8O5CJ6
