    One in seven Yorkshire families are struggling to pay for heating as the worst towns for fuel poverty have been revealed. According to recent data from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, 14.7 per cent of homes in Yorkshire and The Humber, equating to 354,972 properties, were estimated to be in fuel poverty in 2023. Hull had the highest level of fuel poverty in the region at 17.9 per cent, while York reported the lowest at 12.3 per cent.
